Our History

Praise of Pentecost Guyana was established with a burden to see the Apostolic message spread across the Land of Many Waters. Starting from humble beginnings in Georgetown, our ministry has grown through the faithful preaching of the Word and the demonstration of the Spirit's power.

Over the years, God has guided us through every trial and triumph, confirming His word with signs following. We stand on the shoulders of pioneers who planted seeds of truth in Guyanese soil, and today we are reaping a harvest of souls for the Kingdom.

What We Believe

The Oneness of God

We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4), who has revealed Himself as Father in creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Spirit in regeneration. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh.

Water Baptism

We believe in baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, as practiced by the Apostles in the book of Acts (Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, 19:5).

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. This is the promise for you and your children.

Holy Living

We believe in living a separated and holy life, internally and externally, honoring God with our bodies and spirits which belong to Him.

Where God is Taking Us

Our vision is not just to maintain a church, but to spark a revival. We believe God is raising up a generation in Guyana that knows His voice. We are moving towards acquiring new lands for worship, expanding our community outreach programs, and planting daughter works across the region. We are marching forward with the banner of Jesus Name, believing that the glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former.
